Koala Shopping Centre

Koala Shopping Centre, a well-known retail brand in Accra, sought a rebrand to refresh its identity and reposition itself in a competitive retail landscape. The goal was to modernize its look, strengthen its brand presence, and better connect with evolving customer expectations.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a brand identity that captured the programme’s energy and purpose while being adaptable across digital and in-person touchpoints. The identity needed to feel modern, accessible, and professional—instantly recognisable for participants, investors, and the wider community.

My Contribution

  • Crafted a new brand identity system, including logo direction, visual guidelines, and tone of voice.
  • Redesigned the brand’s interface and visual experience, ensuring consistency across customer touchpoints.
  • Positioned Koala as a modern, customer-centric shopping destination, while maintaining its heritage and recognition.

Impact

The new identity created a clearer, fresher brand presence, improving Koala’s market positioning and laying the foundation for enhanced customer loyalty and visibility in Ghana’s retail sector.
